Disney Princes are basically the epitome of man. They’re charming, brave, and freakishly handsome. If you look past their perfect jawlines and Broadway-ready voices, you’d see that they can actually be pretty messed up from time to time.
The Princes may seem nice on paper, but many of them are shady characters. They consist of spoiled rulers, unrepentant thieves, and obsessive lunatics. Even the greatest Princes like Charming, Eric, or Aladdin are pretty flawed figures when you really analyze them. Others like The Beast, Simba, and Tarzan may seem pretty great but that doesn’t mean that life with them will be a cakewalk. Ruling a kingdom is a lot of work and most of Disney’s finest don’t really seem up to the task. That kind of workplace stress can really put the strain on a relationship. This isn’t even counting Princes like Hans from “Frozen” who are just plain evil.
So let’s dive right in. Here is Proof The Disney Princes Are Actually Messed Up.

Disney’s animated movies become a part of our lives before many of us even know how to read. We grow up admiring these heroic characters and adoring their stories. By the time we’re adults, we know Disney’s cartoons intimately. That doesn’t mean we’ve noticed everything about these films though.
In some cases the movies contain mistakes and gaffes that we’ve missed for years. In putting together their films, the folks at Disney let a thing or two slip through the cracks every now and then. In this video, we’re shedding light on some of Disney animation’s most noteworthy continuity errors, animation oversights, and plot holes in 12 of the Mouse House’s most beloved films. That includes some of the most head scratching moments from traditionally animated movies including The Lion King, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Mulan. We’ll also turn our attention to errors in Pixar’s finest including Toy Story, The Incredibles, Monsters, Inc., and its sequel, Monsters University. In addition, we’ll share some mistakes from Disney’s more recent movies, Tangled and Frozen.
Disney’s animated movies are great, even with these mistakes. But learning about some of them will give you something extra to look for next time you re-watch one of these classics.
Today, Disney’s animated movies are beloved by young and old alike. Many of them didn’t start out that way, though. The original stories Disney’s movies are based on are anything but family friendly. In this video, we’re taking a look at Disney movies whose stories were adapted from far darker material.
We’re covering everything from the original Grimm fairy tale that inspired the very first Disney full-length animated feature, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, to the Hans Christian Andersen story that became the blockbuster, The Little Mermaid. In between we’re looking at other princess movies like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Tangled, and Beauty and the Beast. We’ll also delve into the true story of the historical figure Pocahontas, what really happens in the Victor Hugo novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Carlo Collodi’s original conception of the puppet Pinocchio.
These stories have more than a few troubling elements that didn’t make it onto the big screen. After learning about them, you’ll be amazed at how they evolved in Disney’s hands.
These deleted scenes from your favorite Disney movies will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about characters and plotlines. Even the most loyal Disney fan can still be surprised by saddest scenes the studio decided not to keep in the final cut of the most beloved movies. From alternate endings that would totally change movies like “Lion King,” to shocking opening scenes in films like “Incredibles” that will make your stomach turn, prepare to be shocked.
Thought you knew “Toy Story”’s Woody and “Frozen”’s Elsa? Just wait until you meet Evil Elsa and Bad Woody! You won’t believe what “Pinocchio”’s Geppetto considered doing inside the whale, or what could have happened to Pudge the fish in “Lilo & Stitch”. You might even have to hold back tears as you watch sad scenes that never made the cut in “Cars,” “Zootopia,” “Mulan,” and “Emperor’s New Groove”. See them all in this video, and let us know which deleted scene you find the saddest of them all.

You might know Disney princesses by their names, but do you know their voice actresses? You won’t believe some of the behind the scenes stories we’ll share today! Some of these actresses even worked on some of your favorite movies and we bet you didn’t even know. For example, Kristen Bell plays Anna from “Frozen,” but she also gave her voice to the one and only Gossip Girl and she even played a main character in “Veronica Mars.” And then there’s the iconic Jodi Benson, aka the one and only Ariel. Of course, we’ll introduce you to absolutely all Disney princesses and their voice actresses because we think they deserve more credit. Check out behind the mic of your favorite Disney princess voices! We promise this video will have ‘Let It Go’ song stuck in your head all over again. Sorry in advance!
Which voice actress is your favorite? Come let us know! Don’t forget to give this video a big thumbs up and subscribe to TheThings for more feel-good content.

While we all know that Disney absolutely loves to hide secrets and Easter eggs in all of their movies, what you might not know is that their characters have way more in common than meets the eye! So much so, that certain characters actually belong to the same family tree, whether related by blood or by marriage. While you might think you know some, certain family connections might totally shock you. Hercules and Ariel are actually first cousins once removed, Moana and Te Fiti bear a striking resemblance and are probably also distant relations, and there’s the fact that Anna and Elsa are actually Rapunzel’s cousins, and that their parents were on their way to her wedding when they became shipwrecked. Andy’s mom was the original owner of the cowgirl toy Jesse as a little girl, who later passed it down to her son might just break your heart. Tarzan is actually Anna and Elsa from Frozen’s long lost brother, after their parents were washed ashore in the jungle by the shipwreck that took them from their daughters. Prince Eric and Prince Philip are also probably members of the same royal family. The Evil Queen is actually Snow White’s real mother, and is also probably the same terrible stepmother who kidnapped and raised Rapunzel for her own. And finally, there is little doubt in our minds that Belle from Beauty and the Beast is the great, great grandmother of Jane from Tarzan. Big shoutout to our friends over at The Gamer for collaborating on this one!
